The Cottages at Columbia Village’s history is new and exciting to learn about! The Cottages were first established in the year 2001, and since then have grown into nine campuses. These include The Cottages of Emmett, Weiser, Payette, Mountain Home, Boise, Lochsa Falls, Meridian, Middleton, and most recently Columbia Village.
All About The Cottages at Columbia Village
The Cottages at Columbia Village is one of the newest campuses to join The Cottages. It is located at 3521 E Lake Forest Dr. This campus was an existing Assisted Living and Memory Care facility that had been in operation for over a decade. The campus consists of four homes that can accommodate up to fifteen residents, giving it the small, family-like environment that The Cottages prides itself on. This and many other reasons are why it was the perfect choice for the owners to bring this location into the Cottages fold. In July of 2022, The organization announced that The Cottages at Columbia Village would be joining their family of resident-centered assisted living facilities.
After undergoing some renovations and remodeling, there are currently two homes that are open and have residents residing in them. The other two buildings are in the process of going through renovations before being opened. The Cottages is excited about this investment in the community’s structure and know it will bring residents joy with the updated features. The residents already love the campus, too, especially the rich outside experience in the courtyard.
The team is fantastic and is led by Mel, who has been an Administrator for over eight years and has worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Mel has done an excellent job training our team members and providing an exceptional environment for our residents. The Cottages at Columbia Village team is very involved with the community and loves to take the residents out and about to the local shops and events.
Neat Things To Do Around The Columbia Village Area
The area surrounding the Columbia Village campus is beautiful and has many activities that the residents can participate in. The Cottages at Columbia Village is located on the East side of Boise and has a beautiful view of the mountains and canyon. There are many restaurants and fun shops that are only a stone’s throw away! The residents can take scenic bus rides up to Lucky Peak dam, Sandy Point, or drive along the scenic river. There are many parks around and the Boise Zoo is only a few miles away.
Every year there are many festivities and community events that take place such as the Music Festival, the 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Show, Art in the Park, Father’s Day Car Show, Festival of Trees, Idaho Veterans Parade, Latino Fest Boise, New Year’s Eve Potato Drop, Opera in the Park, Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic, World Village Festival, and more.
